How do I scan a bottle?
Open the app and tap the camera/scan icon. Point your camera at the bottle's barcode or label. If the barcode doesn't work, you can try using the label recognition feature or add the bottle manually.
How does the AI "Worth It" analysis work?
Our AI analyzes your collection, preferences, market data, and bottle characteristics to provide personalized recommendations on whether a bottle is worth buying, restocking, or adding to your collection. The analysis considers your taste profile and current collection status.
Can I use the app offline?
Some features like viewing your collection work offline, but scanning bottles, AI analysis, and social features require an internet connection to function properly.
How do I delete my account?
To delete your account and all associated data, please contact us at bourbondteam@gmail.com with your request. We'll process the deletion within 30 days.
Is my data secure?
Yes, we take data security seriously. We use industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your information. For more details, please see our Privacy Policy.
How do I add a bottle that isn't in the database?
If a bottle isn't found during scanning, you'll be given the option to add it manually. Fill out the bottle information and submit it for review. Our team will verify the information and add it to the database.
Can I export my collection data?
Yes! Premium users can export their collection data. This feature is available in the app settings under "Export Data". You can export to CSV or JSON format.
How do I report inappropriate content?
If you see inappropriate posts or content, tap the three dots on the post and select "Report". You can also contact us directly at bourbondteam@gmail.com with details.
Why aren't my AI recommendations updating?
AI recommendations update based on changes to your collection and preferences. Try rating more bottles, updating your collection, or refreshing the recommendations in the Discover tab.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Go to your device's subscription settings to cancel. Your premium features will remain active until the end of your billing period.
What premium features are available?
Premium users get access to advanced collection analytics, data export (CSV/JSON), enhanced AI recommendations, unlimited photo uploads, and priority customer support. Premium also includes detailed market trend analysis and collection valuation tracking.
How do I follow other users and build my network?
You can follow other bourbon enthusiasts by visiting their profiles and tapping "Follow". Discover new users through the social feed, bottle reviews, or by searching usernames. Your home feed will show activity from users you follow.
Can I create and share posts about my bourbon experiences?
Yes! Tap the "+" button to create posts sharing your tasting notes, photos, and bourbon experiences. You can tag bottles, add ratings, and share your thoughts with the community. Posts appear in your followers' feeds and can be discovered by other users.
How does the distillery information work?
Our database includes detailed profiles for hundreds of distilleries, including their history, location, production methods, and complete bottle lineup. You can explore distilleries from bottle details or browse them directly in the app.
What notification settings can I control?
You can customize notifications for new followers, likes and comments on your posts, new releases from followed distilleries, price drops on wishlist items, and community activity. All notification settings are available in your profile settings.
How detailed is the rating system?
You can rate bottles on overall quality, value for money, and specific tasting notes. The app tracks your rating history to understand your preferences and improve AI recommendations. Community ratings help you discover new bottles and see how your tastes compare to others.
What happens if I find incorrect bottle information?
If you notice incorrect information about a bottle, you can report it through the bottle details page. Our admin team reviews all reports and updates the database accordingly. You can also suggest edits directly through the app.
How does the advanced search feature work?
Advanced search lets you filter bottles by distillery, age, proof, price range, flavor profiles, and availability. You can also search for users, posts, and specific tasting notes. Premium users get additional search filters and saved search functionality.
Is there an admin or moderation system?
Yes, we have dedicated admin tools for content moderation, bottle database management, and community oversight. Users can report inappropriate content, and our team reviews all reports promptly to maintain a positive community environment.
